Hello!

My name is Harley Myer! I am a media and lighting designer from Houston, Texas, currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio.I've had a passion for visual art and media since I was young, and media design and content creation is my creative outlet. In my free time, I enjoy crochet, watching hockey, and visiting interactive art exhibits. I love incorporating what I find inspiring and whimsical from the creative world and people around me into my media and lighting design.I am currently attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, majoring in Lighting Design and Technology. My expected graduation is Spring 2026.

Little Room of Whimsy

Final project for Idea Lab taught by Sharon Huizinga at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Fall 2025. The Idea Lab class asks students to take an idea of their choosing from concept to realization. Initially I wanted to explore projection mapping on a variety of different plants, which then led to the project pictured below. Little Room of Whimsy, was a come-and-go projection mapping experience set in our light lab, allowing viewers to take a minute to rest and reset while surrounded by plants and calming visuals.Softwares used: Adobe After Effects, TouchDesigner, Millumin

TouchDesigner Final Project

Final project for the TouchDesigner portion of Motion Design Toolkit taught by Ben Nicholson in the XR Stage at Miami University, Fall 2024. Body tracking is done through a webcam and NVIDIA drivers. Color and image resetting is linked to the high, mid, and lows in the music playing. Color data was also sent to multiple Elation Fuze Max Profiles via sACN to create a more immersive experience.Softwares used: TouchDesigner, MA3

Lighting Technology II Festival Project

Final project for Lighting Technology II taught by Kevin Lawson at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Spring 2024. Project asked groups of three to create a paper festival to be held in Central Park. Students planned out budget and power draw, drafted staging and rigging, created media content, and made final renders of lighting and media together for the final design package.Softwares used: Vectorworks 2024, Photoshop, Depence
